Physical Gothic: NIGHT OF THE VAMPIRE “The Enchanting Winds of the Dreamweaving Masquerade” (Profuound Lore Rec.)

Occorre segnalare il debutto sulla lunga distanza del marchio NIGHT OF THE VAMPIRE per aggiornare un trend, quello della commistione tra metal pesante e goth, sempre più in auge. Attivo dal 2021 e con alle spalle il maxi singolo -fisico- “Eternal Night”, NOTV è portato avanti da un oscuro personaggio

Texano chiamato Astral Shadow che ne cura musiche e testi. Il primo lavoro sulla lunga distanza “The Enchanting Winds of the Dreamweaving Masquerade” (Profuound Lore Rec.), così come il primo maxi singolo, è l’unione del growl black metal con -e qui sta la novità- suoni elettro-cold-wave. Quindi nessun riferimento al metal/deathrock dei New Skeletal Faces o similia ma andazzo synth -“The Cosmic Darkness Calls me Home”, “Misty Illusions“- con vocalizzi da “posseduto”. In queste ambientazioni piatte e tutt’altro che piacevoli, si distinguono i brani con le chitarre in maggiore evidenza “Sacrificed to the Night”, “Chasing Shadows in an Ocean of Time” e “The Prince of Many Faces and the Lady of the Night”.  Rimandato a data da destinarsi. Out in cd e vinile dal 06 Febbraio.
