Physical Gothic: AMULET "Katharsis" (Distortion Productions)

Lo si era predetto all’epoca dell’uscita del primo album "House Of Black + White"  -anno 2021 autoproduzione esclusivamente digitale-: gli AMULET hanno talento da vendere e difficilmente rimarranno “liberi” a lungo. Come volevasi dimostrare, la band di Washington DC pubblica il nuovo “Katharsis” per Distortion Productions, stessa label degli Inertia con distribuzione anche Europea. Rispetto al primo lavoro, il suono si fa in generale più elettronico e smaliziano con un ampio spettro di influenze nelle diciannove (19!) canzoni che compongono l’album. Sfoggio il mio proverbiale dono si sintesi inquadrando gli Amulet come l’unione di Strange Boutique per il

mood, Diva Destruction per la propensione al ballo e Faithful Dawn per l’elettronica mai fine a se stessa. Così, nel dipanarsi dell’album l’ascoltatore troverà l’elettro-brit-goth anni duemila -“Dance Of Duality”, “So Cold”, “Thorn of the Rose”, “Sad + Beautiful” -,  tirate composizioni di american gothic danzereccio -“For Your Love”, “Dirty Hard Beats”, “The Hope That Kills You”, “Walk Away”- con variazioni proto EBM -“Total Power Exchange”-  e d’avanguardia “elettro-metal” -“Erase Me”, “Tear Me Apart”-. Si può affermare che attraverso “Katharsis” gli Amulet hanno sfornato quello che si dice “un album elettrico totale” … lasciatevi totalizzare. Out fisicamente dal 18 Ottobre.
